Why we don't put coats with car seats!

I created a new Tumblr site. So far it is pretty good. Will update more in a few to see if I really like it. :)

Keon has started to sag his pants! I keep pulling them up and he yanks them right back down! What is a mother to do?! LOL

Love You Loving Me

That day I heard your voice
I had some special feeling
I thought "I will never forget you"
I remember that day
You were always on my mind

I only can think about you
One day in the future
I pray this love will be coming true
I will never change my mind
And it is you I will be loving forever

I don't care how far apart we may seem
I will make my dream come true
I will tell you everything
To let you know I already know

I love you loving me
As the stars love the night
Even when things trouble you
I will be always by your side

The Darkness

As the rain fell,
Her heart dropped,
Into the bottom of her soul,
She was trapped in utter darkness.

No one had come for her,
As far as she had known.
The rain falling like autumn leaves,
Suddenly seemed so far.

For in this darkness,
There was nothing to see.
No rain, sleet, or snow,
No wind about to blow,
No leaves about to fall,
No lightning about to crash.

Inside this dark was nothing,
But yet everything unknown.

Love your curves!

A while back, at the entrance of a gym, there was a picture of a very thin and beautiful woman. The caption was "This summer, do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?"

The story goes, a woman (of clothing size unknown) answered the following way:

"Dear people, whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, seals, curious humans), they are sexually active and raise their children with great tenderness.
They entertain like crazy with dolphins and eat lots of prawns. They swim all day and travel to fantastic places like Patagonia, the Barents Sea or the coral reefs of Polynesia.
They sing incredibly well and sometimes even are on cds. They are impressive and dearly loved animals, which everyone defend and admires.

Mermaids do not exist.

But if they existed, they would line up to see a psychologist because of a problem of split personality: woman or fish?
They would have no sex life and could not bear children.
Yes, they would be lovely, but lonely and sad.
And, who wants a girl that smells like fish by his side?

Without a doubt, I'd rather be a whale.

At a time when the media tells us that only thin is beautiful, I prefer to eat ice cream with my kids, to have dinner with my husband, to eat and drink and have fun with my friends.

We women, we gain weight because we accumulate so much wisdom and knowledge that there isn't enough space in our heads, and it spreads all over our bodies.
We are not fat, we are greatly cultivated.
Every time I see my curves in the mirror, I tell myself: "How amazing am I ?! "

Social Security

A retired gentleman went to the social security office to apply for Social Security.

The woman behind the counter asked him for his driver's license to verify his age. He looked in his pockets and realized he had left his wallet at home. He told the woman that he was very sorry but he seemed to have left his wallet at home. "I will have to go home and come back later." The woman says, "Unbutton your shirt." So he opens his shirt revealing curly silver hair. She says, "That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me" and she processed his Social Security application.

When he gets home, the man excitedly tells his wife about his experience at the social security office. She says, "You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability too."

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Facebook is a very popular social networking site that is used by many people around the world. We use Facebook to communicate with our friends, family, and our jobs. Facebook allows you to create a profile which is used to tell people more about you. On your profile you can edit things such as your profile picture, gender, birth date, hometown, family, relationship status, political views, religion, activities, hobbies, interests, favorite music, favorite movies, favorite TV shows, favorite quotations, favorite books, about me information, contact details and education, work, and family members.
Facebook lets you connect with you family, friends and relatives, because of the popularity of the Facebook website; a lot of people are registering and becoming users. The website has become a common ground for people, which results to finding old friends, relatives, and family members. This makes it easier for you to interact with them. Another benefit of becoming a Facebook user is that you will be able to post almost anything on your wall. The wall of a particular user is there for all your friends and yourself to see. This is a page in your profile which gives you the latest news and posts from your other friends. A lot of people are taking advantage of this page to post some information and updates on their personal and professional lives. It can also be used to announce a reunion, an outing, and events of the like. Through this wall, you can also tell your friends how you feel, and they are free to react with you by posting a comment on your status, picture, video etc. Not only can you post written content, but you can also put some videos, pictures and music on your wall. Facebook is a great opportunity for businesses to make their products known, it is home to millions of users around the world, and is growing every day. All of these users will be the marketed any of these advertisements posted in the website which is why businesses are taking advantage of this opportunity. Facebook could greatly benefit these businesses by increasing their income through advertising.
If you use Facebook regularly, you know exactly how this site can be addictive, always updating your status, checking on others, bragging about yourself, or just mingling with strangers. Facebook puts a variety of powerful options on your fingertips and you are hooked; for hours every day. Many of us pay very little attention to the information we put online every day, some of it quite personal. Where you live, your contact information, what you do, where you go. You may be opening the doors for others to intrude on your life. Even with all the privacy settings, lots of so called ‘friends’ have access to your personal information, a lot more than you may want to. It is very common for everybody to have 100s of Facebook friends now days; it is a popularity statement after-all. Are the Facebook friends really your true friends? If you are adding everyone you meet in your school or workplace or online, chances are that you have many strangers in your friends’ list. Some of them may be there just to watch what you do, where you go. In real life, that would be considered stalking!
Many schools and jobs check on the prospective attendees’ Facebook accounts. After all, most of the schools and workplaces don’t want anyone to be wasting their productive time on Facebook. What you say or what you share on Facebook may come back to bite you. According to a study conducted by, 22% of 31,000 employers surveyed said they search social networks to screen candidates. And one-third of those said they found information on sites like Facebook and MySpace that eliminated candidates from consideration. Have a look at the top areas of concern those employers found on social networking sites:
• Information about alcohol or drug use (41% of managers said this was a top concern)
• Inappropriate photos or information posted on a candidate’s page (40%)
• Poor communication skills (29%)
• Bad-mouthing of former employers or fellow employees (28%)
• Inaccurate qualifications (27%)
• Unprofessional screen names (22%)
• Notes showing links to criminal behavior (21%)
• Confidential information about past employers (19%) (December 26, 2008 “Can Facebook hurt your job prospects?”
We all know Facebook is a place to communicate with friends and family, to keep in touch with old classmates, and to play fun Facebook games; Farmville, Sims. When used in an appropriate way Facebook can be fun and interactive, but when misused (adding people you don’t know, putting up personal information, post suggestive statuses, videos, or pictures) Facebook can become negative or even dangerous. Causing people to lose jobs, or having personal information in the public, where unwanted people can see it. Think twice before posting statuses dissing your boss, or posting those pictures of your latest inebriated state showing you in a compromised state, isn’t such a good idea. Moral of the story is to be internet smart, and stay safe.

Ode To My Vibrator

Oh, eleven inch piece of plastic,
So shiny and bright.
You’re all that’s in bed with me,
At the end of most nights.

You’re always there,
I’m never in need.
You never pressure or force me,
Into doing the deed.

You don’t expect much,
Sputtering and chugging along.
And I don’t have to impress you,
By wearing a thong.

I never have to fake a headache,
Or feign being sick.
And while you aren’t a douchebag,
You’re still a big dick.

Oh, little C-battery powered friend,
With you, I can truly be me.
You don’t judge me for coming to you once a day,
All right, let’s be honest, sometimes three.

So while you don’t bring me chocolates, roses,
Or other mushy stuff
You bring me something few men have,
And trust me, that’s enough.

Single Mothers

Being a single mother is hard. Raising a baby is a scary task. Showing them they way and hoping to God that you are doing it right. No one to guide you, or for you to look to for guidance. It is like you are in a room all alone. That is why I am so grateful that God gave me Keon, my son. He is one. He seems to just make this lonely world a little brighter. He is all around an easy baby. He mostly just plays. His loves his stuffed animals the best. Then it is moms cell phone. Although times are touch and life is hard. Keon really makes it all worth it.

An Unseen Illness

Some people believe that if you cannot see an illness, than it isn’t there. I have heard this many times growing up. Some say it if all for attention, some say it is in your head, some say ‘you’re a teen life sucks, get over it.’ What most people don’t understand is that it’s none of those. There are illnesses that truly hurt people. Maybe not that others can see but on the inside. If not properly treated, the illness can lead to someone hurting themselves or others.
Although I did not know how, growing up, I knew I was different. I didn’t understand that other kids my age did not feel the same way I did, feelings like sorrow, hurt, no energy, disconnected, and unworthy. Basically I hated myself and who I was. I felt sorry for myself, being the way I was, was my fault. I had felt that way my whole life. I didn’t realize that the feeling I had where not normal. Do to these feelings, I often let people run over and use me. As a pre-teen I was bullied, one time actually being pushed in front of a moving bus.
At the age of thirteen, I went into talk therapy, for a short time. Than my Psychologist recommended that I went to see a Psychiatrist. He then told me that I had major depression. Major Depression is a mental disorder characterized by an all-encompassing low mood accompanied by low self-esteem, and by loss of interest or pleasure in normally enjoyable activities. I was then prescribed Lexapro and Seroquel. First in a very low dose, and increased properly, to where it worked best for me. Lexapro is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). SSRIs ease depression by affecting chemical messengers (neurotransmitters) used to communicate between brain cells. SSRIs block the reabsorption (reuptake) of the neurotransmitter serotonin in the brain. Changing the balance of serotonin seems to help brain cells send and receive chemical messages, which in turn boosts mood. SSRIs are called selective because they seem to primarily affect serotonin, not other neurotransmitters. Seroquel is an antipsychotic medication. It is not entirely known how it works in the treatment; however, it is known that the medication blocks or lessens the effects of several chemicals in the brain. These chemicals (such as dopamine and serotonin) may be elevated in people, lessening the effects of depression. Together, these medications changed my world.
For the first time in my life I felt happiness. It did not just happen at once. It took several months, for the medication to be properly regulated and for things to come into perspective. I had realized that people would run over me because I had low self-esteem. My self-esteem grew; I started standing up for myself when things were not right. I could see what I wanted for my future; I began to like school, looked forward to going to college, no longer considered suicide, and become my own person. I grew into the person I am today.
The truth is Major Depression is a very real illness. Some may not know why they feel the way they do, and some might. It affects millions of people every minute, of every day. Major Depression is not something that will ever go away. Think twice before you bully or are rude to someone; you never know what’s going on inside.

Essays for School

So, in my first semester, in college i had a writing class. In this class my professor taught us MLA format, when writing essays. Now that I am in my second semester and have a new professor, he had basically told us to throw MLA out the window, and now I have no format. As long as it makes sense, its OK? What the heck!? It is like I wasted my time taking a class (I have to have for my degree) for nothing. To not even learn what I used.

If I Had a Super Power

If I had a supper power, I would have the power to fly. I believe that flying would be the most freeing activity out there. To be able to go where ever you want, when ever you want, and it wouldn't cost anything! (huge plus in this economy) Up in the skies, so peaceful, and quiet.

That is unless everyone could fly! Can we say traffic jam! The government would start charging us! LOL

Mary Kay and Domestic Violence

For every new "like" on the MARY KAY facebook page September 1st-October 31st, Mary Kay will donate $1 (up to $1 million) to the Mary Kay Foundation. This will go to help end domestic violence! Pass this on to your friends and let them know!
I hope this isn't seen as slacktivism since it does actually do something to help.
